Pegasus Data browser tools are designed to support webpage capture, OSINT documentation, research, evidence capture, page analysis and related professional workflows.

Each tool has a limited and clearly described purpose. The data processed depends on the specific tool and the actions chosen by the user.

2. General privacy approach

Unless explicitly stated otherwise for a specific tool, Pegasus Data browser tools are designed for local browser-based processing.

Pegasus Data browser tools do not include:

telemetry;
advertising identifiers;
user profiling;
behavioural tracking;
automatic cloud upload;
sale of user data.

Pegasus Data does not sell user data and does not transfer user data to third parties through these browser tools.

full-page webpage content during full-page capture;
selected-area snips;

4. Local processing and storage

Capture, analysis and export functions are processed locally in the user’s browser, unless a tool-specific section clearly states otherwise.

Output files are created only when the user starts a capture, analysis or export action. Files may be saved locally through the browser’s download functionality.

Local settings may be stored in the browser, such as preferred output format, download folder, capture preferences or case context fields.

These settings are not automatically transmitted to Pegasus Data.

5. Website visibility

Pegasus Data browser tools do not normally send generated screenshots, PDFs, selected-area snips, case context, notes or metadata to the visited website.

However, normal website visits may still be visible to the visited website, as with regular browser use. This may include:

network traffic;
IP address or network information;
browser user-agent;
cookies or login session information;
loaded page elements;
possible scroll activity during full-page capture;
requests made by the browser when loading or interacting with a page.

If a website uses analytics, logging, lazy loading or session-replay technology, some normal browser activity may be recorded by that website.

6. Browser permissions

Pegasus Data browser tools request only the permissions needed for their stated functionality. Depending on the tool, this may include:

11.2 Pegasus OSINT Webpage Capture Extended / Customer Version

Purpose:
Pegasus OSINT Webpage Capture Extended supports more advanced evidence capture and documentation workflows for approved Pegasus Data users and customer deployments.

Additional functions may include:

advanced evidence options;
Evidence ZIP output;
extended metadata controls;
investigator or analyst field;
notes field;
per-field case context output controls;
customer-specific configuration.

Data processed may include:

webpage content;
screenshots;
PDF output;
selected-area snips;
page URL;
page title;
capture date and time;
case reference;
investigation name;
investigator or analyst field;
notes;
metadata generated for documentation or evidence purposes;
local extension settings;
output files created by the user.

Processing model:
Processing takes place locally in the browser unless explicitly configured otherwise for a customer deployment. The extension does not include telemetry, tracking or automatic cloud upload.

11.3 Pegasus OSINT Page Analyzer

Purpose:
Pegasus OSINT Page Analyzer helps users analyse the active webpage for OSINT-relevant page data.

Main functions may include:

local page analysis;
extraction of webpage metadata;
extraction of links and resource references;
detection of email addresses, phone numbers and IP addresses visible or available on the page;
optional robots.txt analysis;
CSV or JSON export;
keyword highlighting.

Data processed may include:

page URL;
page title;
webpage metadata;
visible text;
links;
images;
scripts and resource references;
email addresses, phone numbers and IP addresses found on the page;
robots.txt data, where selected;
local extension settings;
user-generated CSV or JSON export files.

Processing model:
Page analysis is performed locally in the browser. If robots.txt analysis is enabled by the user, the browser may request /robots.txt from the visited website. That request may be visible to the visited website as normal browser traffic.

12. Adding new Pegasus Data browser tools

If additional Pegasus Data browser tools are released, they may be added to this privacy policy.

For each new tool, Pegasus Data will describe:

the purpose of the tool;
the main functions;
the data that may be processed;
whether processing is local or uses any external service;
any relevant browser permissions;
any relevant privacy or operational considerations.
